Houston Astros

The Houston Colt was established by Astros in 45s and entered the National League as an extension team in 1962 along with the New York Mets. The existing name, as reflecting Houston's role by the host of the Johnson Space Center, was implemented three years later, when they stimulated into the Astrodome, "Eighth Wonder of the World." the first domed sports stadium. The Astros developed a new stadium called as Minute Maid Park in 2000. From 1969 to 1993 the Astros played in the NL West division, then from 1994 to 2012 the NL central division formed, before being moved to the AL West as part of MLB repositioning in 2013.
