Oakland Athletics

Eight charter franchises were the American League's in 1901 the team was founded in Philadelphia as the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1910, 1911 and 1913 when they won three World Series champion ships and continuous titles in 1929 and 1930. For its first 50 years the team's holder and manager was Connie Mack and Hall of Fame troupes included Dominant Bender, Frank "Home Run" Baker, Jimmie Fox, and Lefty Grove. In 1955 the team left Philadelphia for Kansas City and developed the Kansas City Athletics before moving to Oakland.
