Seattle Mariners

In the city of Seattle, the "Mariners" name originates from the importance of marine culture. From 1987 to 1992 they dubbed the M's with a title featured in their primary logo. In1993 season they adopted by current team colors navy blue, northwest green (teal), and silver, after having been royal blue and gold since the team's origin. Until 1991 the franchise did not field a winning team and until 1995 further success eluded them when they won their first division contest and defeated the New York Yankees in the ALDS.
