Toronto Blues Jays

Blue Jays name is originates from the bird of the similar name, and blue is also the outdated color of Toronto's collegiate and Teams of professional sports including the Maple Leafs and the Argonauts. In 1976, from 4,000 suggestions only, 154 people nominated the name "Blue Jays.” In addition, the team was formerly retained by the Labatt Brewing Company, the popular beer Labatt Blue maker. Colloquially nicknamed the "Jays", Royal blue, navy blue, red, and white is the team's official color. A franchise club was founded in Toronto in 1977.
